We are going fully Christmas on the blog today! I know it's only October, but it's the cover reveal for Katie Mettner's third Christmas book, Nick S. Klaus, and with a name like that, you go full Christmas, all the time. Nick S. Klaus is the 7th book in Katie's Snowberry Series, so read on for an excerpt and my holly jolly review!
Growing up with a name like Nick S. Klaus made it easy for me to fall in love with the Christmas season. Who doesn’t love a winter wonderland sleigh ride filled with music and stolen kisses in the wind? Mandy Alexander, that’s who.
“Are you all ready, Santa?”
I turned towards the soft voice behind me and Mandy was walking towards me, dressed in the sweetest Mrs. Claus dress I had ever seen.
I pulled her into my arms. “Why, Mrs. Claus, aren’t you beautiful this morning.”
She laughed softly and tugged on my beard a little. “I’ve worn this dress every year for the last five years you’ve been part of Coats for Kids.”
“I know and I’ve gone home and been in pain thinking about you in that dress for the last five years. Tonight, I’m not going to be in pain, though. Tonight I’m going to be in you.”
She swatted my shoulder and looked around a little. “Santa, who’s the naughty one now? You’re going to have to put your own name on the list.”
“Trust me when I say it’s already on there, multiple times.” I started laughing, “Ho, ho, ho, Santa’s getting coal.”
She rested her head on my big fat chest and laughed hysterically, trying to remain quiet as the kids were gathering in front of the curtains for the arrival of Santa.
Nick S. Klaus has been waiting 5 years for his chance with Mandy. Biding his time and then stepping in when she needs him most. Mandy has been avoiding getting attached to anyone, especially Nick, since her divorce and she's a no frills kind of lady who does for the kids and not much for herself. In her eyes she doesn't deserve it. Nick and Mandy grow closer and he helps her realize there's more to her than just being mom and teacher. She deserves to be loved as much as anyone else no matter the mistakes in her past. Nick also stands up to someone in her family not many people would have the nerve to for deserting her since her accident 14 years before. With shocking twists and turns as the story progresses Katie Mettner keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last page. Nick S. Klaus is a story of hope, love and joy perfect for the Christmas Season.

Her stories are about empowering people with special circumstances to find the one person who will love them because of their abilities, not their inabilities. Katie has a slight addiction to Twitter and blogging, with a lessening aversion to Pinterest now that she quit trying to make the things she pinned.
