Fall in love with a little help from man’s best friend in New York Times bestselling author Jenn McKinlay’s contemporary romance debut.Mackenzie “Mac” Harris fled her hometown of Bluff Point, Maine, after being left at the altar—and seeking solace in the arms of her best friend’s off-limits brother. Now, seven years later, she’s back to attend her best friend’s wedding—safe, or so she thinks, from the mistakes of her youth.
But Gavin Tolliver has never forgotten the woman who has always held his heart. And when Mac rescues a stray puppy named Tulip, only Gavin, the town’s veterinarian, can help. With a little assistance from Tulip, Gavin vows to make Mac realize that their feelings are more than just puppy love…
About a Dog is one of my B&N stroll finds. I love to go there once in a while and just look. When I saw the cover, then read the blurb I couldn't not get it. Thank goodness the story did not disappoint. Gavin is one alpha male that will sweep you off your feet. He's patient, sweet and loving. He knows what he wants and doesn't hesitate to go after her. Mac never wanted to come back to the one town that hosts the most horrible memory of her life. Though she can't help but be drawn to Gavin. I love that she rescues Tulip and how she cares for her friends and family. The unique and quirky supporting characters compliment the story perfectly.
I loved this story from page one and I'll definitely be picking up the rest of the books in the series as soon as I can. If you enjoy a fun romance with unique characters and an adorable dog I highly recommend About a Dog.
