"I craved the sun until I found the moon."

Gargoyles, the ugly, mutant creatures atop prestigious old buildings. Just statues and tales. At least that’s what Larissa thought. She didn’t believe the rumors of gargoyles living in the forbidden forest that sat behind the university, or the rumors that the mysterious Gargoyle’s Kiss would set them free, at least not until she unintentionally kissed one. But kissing a statue of an unusually attractive man shouldn’t be life changing. After all, what’s the harm in a little kiss?

Gargoyle's Kiss is a clean Mature YA book.

Heather Karn has created a unique world where Gargoyles are cursed until they are kissed to "life". Larissa is in college she has her bff Finley and Finley's boyfriend, Marshall. The trio are fun and the perfect set of friends other than when trying to set Larissa up, that is. Enter Aeron, a gargoyle statue Larissa kissed. The sexy, alpha Gargoyle introduces the three of them to his world and how he and his companions protect the world from evil.  I love the unique world and how the gargoyles are fae. I don't want to say much more without betraying the story, but I will say if you enjoy urban fantasy romance Gargoyle's Kiss is a must read!

Heather's desire to become an author hit in 8th grade when she wrote a short story as an assignment and she turned that story into her first novel. She graduated college with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, but after college she got discouraged and writing fell
by the wayside for other hobbies, though she still dreamed of publishing one day.

She began reading YA fiction again in 2015, and her heart burned to start writing the stories in her head. It was then that she began The Weregal Chronicles, a YA paranormal romance series featuring tiger shifters. The setting of “Perfect Scents”, Book 1 is in West Virginia, a place Heather holds dear to her heart. Though she only lived there for a year, she will always consider it home.

Currently, Heather and her dog, Gunney, live in Wisconsin. He's a Pomeranian who loves to keep her company while she writes, and if she gets too distracted by her writing, he likes to remind her that he's still present. He's recently learned to love to play fetch, so it's their favorite distraction when she needs a break...or he does.
