Motocross Romance
How can you miss something you never
had?
Retired pro motocross racer Eli Hunter
had it all; at least that’s how he chose to look at things. His
life revolved around the sport he loved and he had been catapulted to
rock star status. Eli loved the feel of a bike under him as he raced,
even…when it almost killed him.
After fighting back from a debilitating
injury Eli has devoted his life to The Noland Racing Academy. As far
as Eli was concerned that was all he’d ever need, that is until he
sat across from Dallas, a young up and coming racer, and his widowed
mother, Honor. It was then that Eli realized exactly what he had been
missing.
The prospect of sending her son off to
the Noland’s Racing Academy was daunting enough without being faced
by the devil in a pair of blue jeans. When Honor held the door open
for Eli Hunter she knew she was letting him walk right into her life,
but she refused to let him into her heart.
Eli has never backed down from a
challenge and he wasn’t about to stop now. Not when those long
auburn curls and shy violet eyes were the answer to his unspoken
prayers.
NOW a SPEACIAL SURPRISE! I have author Katie Mettner's Review of Eli's Honor! I'm so behind and mine will be up next week, but I asked Katie to share hers!!! Right?! SO, without Further ado.........
*Warning: DO NOT color your hair while reading Eli's Honor and if you have too, make sure you set a timer because you can't put this book down!
Amy Gregory roars through the gates with Racing To Love ~ Eli’s Honor and the gang’s all here! Set several years after Jesse’s Soul the gang has grown, considerably, and they no longer hang out in the pits. The Nolands have opened The Noland SFH Racing Academy and Eli, Jesse and Carter are busy coaching and mentoring the boys that come to the school week after week. Eli Hunter is a well loved racer, but a tragic accident ended his career and left him searching for his place in life. As the story opens Eli gets a call from Molly informing him of their first scholarship request, Dallas Graham. At the tender age of 11 Dallas is already making waves in the motocross world and Eli is already following his stats knowing full well he has champion potential. With the encouragement of Molly and the Nolands Eli promptly finds himself driving down a dusty dirt road in Nashville, unsure if he can convince the mother of this natural born racer to give them her son for a month. Honor Graham is barely holding onto Dallas’s racing and with the costs becoming more than she can handle her brother-in-law asks the Nolands for help, something she is none to pleased about. Honor isn’t looking for handouts, and a scholarship to the Noland Racing Academy is just that in her book. Faced with a chance to give her son everything she wants him to have, her biggest fear is she won’t be able to let him go. The sight of Eli Hunter, Dallas’s racing idol, on her doorstep doesn’t help matters and she’s suddenly faced with question, is he their salvation or the devil in tight jeans? Amy opens up the throttle and effortlessly leads us through the next month of Eli and Honor’s life as Dallas wins the hearts of all the Nolands and Eli wins the heart of Honor. More than that it’s a story about redemption from the past, acceptance of the future and understanding family doesn’t always share blood, but they can share so much more. Amy Gregory moves to the head of the class with Eli’s Honor and I can’t wait for more!

Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
Great post, I don't know much about motercross, but this sounds like a fun read! How did you end up writing romance around the sport?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting! I know zip about motocross but it does sound exciting!
ReplyDeleteThis entire series looks good! I like that each book is on the shorter side and looks like it could be read in one evening (LOVE!). Was that on purpose :)???
ReplyDeleteOoo s aports romance. Love those :) I haven't read a motocross one yet though. Sounds pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of this, especially since I love motocross. Ha - that warning made me laugh, because I've actually done that. :-|
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything with this theme before, I'm definitely curious :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you come up with this idea? Where did get the inspiration?
Thanks for the chance to win!
Thank you all so much for your support and comments. Actually we've followed the sport for several years, going to at least one Pro race a season. We don't make it to outdoor races because our son actually races in the amateurs. It's a great (very dangerous) sport, but it is one that brings our family together because you have to each play a role to help get him to the line. I like that, especially in this day and age when teenagers tend to pull away. But they each have their own sport and support each other. If you've never seen it, the races that I based (completely fictional) Carter's Treasure and Jesse's Soul on, that season is called SuperCross and airs on TV when the races start in January, running through Vegas week, usually 1st weekend in May. Thanks again everyone! Hugs to you all and LOVE YOU TOBI!!!!
