Hottie McTottie Monday & Cover Reveal!

Happy Hottie McTottie Monday!
Today I have a SUPER Treat for y'all!
A cover reveal for SNOW DAZE by Katie Mettner!
AND an interview with Hottie McTottie from Snow Daze!
Woohoo Today we're rockin' it!

A Word from Katie
Thanks for hosting me today on Forget The Housework today, Tobi! I’ve been working on this project for the last few months and am quite excited to be releasing my first Christmas novella on November 15! I was at my desk one morning typing my day job and one of my favorite patients was on the schedule. Her name is Snow, and every time I see her I always say, "That would be a great name for my next heroine!" This time I didn’t just say it, I did it, I wrote Snow’s story. The inspiration for this story is two part actually. The timeline of the story is very much my husband and mine’s story. We met the week before Thanksgiving and we were married in April. My husband, like Mr. Dully Alexander, is also a teacher, so I took a little bit of creative license in telling this story. Add to that living in Wisconsin and Minnesota all my life, my favorite Christmas song 'Baby it's Cold Outside' with Anne Murray and of course, Mr. Michael BublĂ©, and you had the perfect meet-cute for Snow Daze.

Let’s Meet Mr. Dully Alexander!

Tobi: Thanks for stopping over at Forget The Housework today, Dully! Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Dully: It’s my pleasure, Tobi! A little bit about me? Let’s see, well as you know I’m a special education teacher in my hometown. When I’m not teaching I enjoy coaching basketball for Special Olympics. I love hanging out with my brothers on a lazy Sunday afternoon watching the Vikings play, or taking my nieces and nephews sledding on the closest hill. A little known fact about me is I qualified for the Olympic Biathlon.

Tobi: Really?! That’s the skiing and shooting sport, right? Well, don’t leave us hanging, what happened??

Dully: *Laughs* I’d like to say I have an Olympic medal hanging in my closet, but the truth is I tore my ACL in a training exercise and never made it to the Olympics. It was fun while it lasted, but I was ready to move on anyway.

Tobi: That’s too bad, Dully, but like you said, you had other things waiting in the wings. So, I have to ask, your eyes are fascinating, does anyone else in your family have the same condition?

Dully: Ahhh yes, my eyes. I have heterochromia iridium; it’s a condition where each pupil is a different color. As Charles Xavier said in X-Men “I’m mutant and proud!” To answer your question, no one else in my family has the same thing.

Tobi: I think heterochromia is sexy! Dare I say Ms. Snow does too?

Dully: *Blushing* I would say that’s a fair bet, Tobi. It was the first time in my life I was thankful for those two different colored eyes. I like to think they hooked the scientist in her, and I hooked the woman inside the scientist.

Tobi: What was the first thing that ran through your mind in the elevator that day, Dully?

Dully: You mean after I tried not to freak out and vomit when the elevator stopped?

Tobi: *Laughing* YES!

Dully: Honestly, my first thought was “She’s the one.” I’ve always been a cautious man when it comes to dating. I knew I’d find the right woman when it was time, and I never tried to force anything that wasn’t meant to be. But standing in that elevator I knew right away she was the woman I’d been waiting for. All I saw was her beautiful hair, but her voice was the voice of my dreams, and when she turned around, I was done. I knew I’d found the woman I was meant to be with. I also knew convincing her of that might take some work.

Tobi: Awe that’s so sweet! Snow is a lucky girl to have you, Dully.

Dully: I know I’m the lucky one, Tobi. Snow has gone through a lot in her life, but it has made her stronger and she finds new ways to amaze me every day. She is the perfect place to come home to, and on a snowy winter day in Minnesota, her arms are where I want to be.

Tobi: There you have it, ladies, true love! There are so many more questions I want to ask you, Dully, but I don’t want to give away too much of your story, so I won’t ask them. I will let the reader find out in the pages of the book. I hope you will stop back again and update us on how things are going between you and Snow.

Dully: Thanks for having me today, Tobi. You betcha, I’ll come back soon and update you on a few pretty important things happening in our lives *wink wink*

Synopsis:
Trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger is the perfect ‘meet-cute’, but Dr. Snow Daze has no interest in being the heroine of the next romance novel. Since her last ‘knight in shining armor’ turned into a nightmare, Snow hasn’t even looked at another man. One look into the alluring eyes of this stranger told her one thing, he was a guaranteed complication.

When Dully Alexander comes face to face with his very own snow angel he knows he will do anything to be her hero. With a good old fashioned Minnesota blizzard raging outside, a crackling fire inside, and whispered secrets on the couch, can Dully convince Snow she deserves her happily ever after?
