Support Braden's Hope

Hey y'all check out this amazing thing Katie Mettner is doing to raise money for Braden's Hope.
Braden is a STRONG little man that I pray for him and his family often.
I couldn't imagine what he and his family go through everyday.
Ok trying not to cry just read all Katie has to say below!

Anyone who has read my stories knows just how much I believe in there being a reason for everything. I struggle with some of them, and I certainly don't like a good number of them, but I always look for that reason. When I learned about Braden Hofen and his mom Deliece, I found myself really struggling with the reasons. A little boy, only 9 years old, and already battling cancer, twice? What's fair about that, Lord? What are your reasons for that? Then I got to know Deliece and Braden, and I saw all His reasons wrapped in the smile of a little boy. A little boy who really doesn't care that he has cancer, because to him cancer doesn't exist. I see his mother and father, who know cancer exists and who know what cancer can do to their child, and they fight. They fight hard, to raise funds for grants to research treatments for childhood cancer, because there isn't enough being done! Braden's Hope is changing the world of so many young cancer patients all because the Lord knew who could shoulder this burden, and do it with dignity and with HOPE. When I think about this week I think about being thankful, and I am thankful for The Hofens! I have never met these brave warriors in person, but when I look at my own children I think of them every single time. Every time I look at my children I know if they ever were diagnosed with cancer, the path little Braden has had to walk, has laid the groundwork for potential treatments that could help my child, or yours, or your grandchildren or nieces or nephews. So, to express my thanks for all they have done for the little warriors, the week of November 25th through 31st, the proceeds from the purchase of any of my books will benefit Braden's Hope For Childhood Cancer. Thank you for supporting Braden’s Hope and the groundbreaking work they have embarked on, all because they have HOPE. Thursday, when I sit down with my own family, I will say a prayer of thanks and then say “Take that cANCER! You didn't get this Thanksgiving, the Hofen's did!”
God bless the warriors.

Snow Daze: 99cents

Trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger is the perfect ‘meet-cute’, but Dr. Snow Daze has no interest in being the heroine of the next romance novel. Since her last ‘knight in shining armor’ turned into a nightmare, Snow hasn’t even looked at another man; one look into the alluring eyes of this stranger told her one thing, he was a guaranteed complication.

When Dully Alexander comes face to face with his very own snow angel he knows he will do anything to be her hero. With a good old fashioned Minnesota blizzard raging outside, a crackling fire inside, and whispered secrets on the couch, can Dully convince Snow she deserves her happily ever after?

Will the events of one snowy November night haunt her forever?

Grab a cup of joe and meet Tula DuBois, Sugar to everyone who loves her, an accomplished ballroom dance instructor living in the Twin Ports of Lake Superior. From the outside Sugar appears to have it all, a successful business and a wonderful family, but behind closed doors Sugar’s emotional walls are crumbling as the events of one snowy November night ten years ago fill her nights with terror. As she struggles to keep her sanity from slipping away she is taunted by the never-ending mantra of why. Why is she still here? Why was she spared?  When Drug Task Force Agent Donovan Walsh arrives in Duluth, Minnesota, he has one job, keep Sugar safe. As the gales of November blow early, Van finds himself drawn to Sugar as he leads her through a tender dance of grief and guilt. As one storm eases another intensifies and Sugar is pulled back into a high stakes promenade with a psychopath hellbent on destroying her family and her town. As winter descends upon Lake Superior, Sugar will waltz through the darkness to find faith, hope, and the greatest of these, love….

Sugar’s Song
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.  Psalm 56

Love is a many-splendored thing and no one who knows this better than Tula “Sugar” DuBois.  As the New Year breaks over her lodge on the frozen shores of Lake Superior, Sugar is wrapped in the arms of the man she loves, dancing in the New Year with her brother and his new wife. Enter the mysterious Lillie who comes to the lodge for Christmas break seeking safe haven. No one knows her secrets and she’s determined to keep it that way.  Having had secrets to keep Sugar is compelled to love and protect Lillie, determined to give her the strength to reveal what she’s hiding before it’s too late. When Lillie comes face-to-face with her past will she let revenge steal her future? Sugar calls upon all who love Lillie to dance a dangerous samba to save the young girl before she is delivered to the Father by evil... As the tulips sprout through the snow covered ground there is new love, new hope and new life, and together they will share Sugar’s Night...

Katie Mettner grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and moved to the Northwoods where she now resides with her husband and three children. As a young adult Katie enjoyed ballroom dancing and like Sugar she didn’t let her physical limitations hold her back from what she loved. Katie writes The Sugar Series, Sugar’s Dance and Sugar’s Song, a Christian romance series. Her stories are a reflection of her love for family intricately woven with life experience. When the gales of November blow early you can find her at the computer with a cup of joe, listening to Michael BublĂ© and working
