The Mess Dectectives and the Case of the Lost Temper is an excellent book for the first reader level 1. There were very few words I had to help my 2nd grader with. The message is perfect for us right now because we are working with B on his temper as well. He stopped reading and said "TEMPER! Like on my behavior chart?!" This story hit home and is helping him slowly as we work with him on this issue and on his 2nd grade reading.
B's Response: I like it best at the end when Bob is happy and not tempered.
