Kayla is having one hell of a day when she lands in Mount Pleasant for an impromptu visit to her brother.  To top that day off she runs in to one massive wall of muscle that makes her heart skip a beat.  That solid wall would be hottie mctottie, Brent.  Both have histories of heartbreak and have difficulty letting go and loving someone again.  As circumstances keep throwing the couple together their defenses break down very slowly.  I felt Kayla was a bit more stubborn than Brent and it aggravated me a bit.  Her Unexpected Detour is a story about letting go and learning to love again.
