Seasick. That's how Jessie Todd feels when her best friend and boss, Finn O'Donnell, tells her that the Buoys will be featured on a popular fishing program—which just so happens to be hosted by a guy she used to date. She's still friendly with her ex, but her new feelings for Finn are making things . . . complicated. His life is out on the sea, and though Jessie works at the resort, her paralyzing phobia of water keeps her on land, where she's safe. To take a shot with Finn, she'll need to face her fears—and her innermost desires—head-on.
Finn has been nursing a crush on Jess for a long time, so when she suddenly asks for swimming lessons, he dives right in. Holding her shaking hand as she steps into the ocean makes his heart swell—despite the sinking feeling that she's just doing it to impress that smarmy TV host. Finn doesn't trust anyone with his bruised and battered heart, but he'll be forced to lay it all on the line to keep Jess from being the one that got away.

Finn has secretly liked Jessie since she showed up on his family's doorstep when they were teens. He thought he was over it until she asked him to help her to get over her fear of water. All of his feelings came rushing back. Jessie has been afraid of water since she was a young girl. Finn seems to be the only O'Donnell available to help her get over her fears. The unexpected emotions she starts feeling for Finn throw her for a loop.
Jessie is spunky and can hold her own with the three O'Donnell brothers. She's definitely one to be reckoned with. Finn is sexy, smart and his care for Jessie will leave you swooning even with his love 'em and leave 'em reputation. The ebb and flow with the building of Finn and Jessie's relationship was so skillfully written. I was drawn to the two characters together in the first story in the series. The attraction, emotions and friendship between the two was so beautiful.
I've been waiting for Lured In to come out since I finished Off the Hook in the Spring. Laura Drewry did not disappoint. The flow of the story was written perfectly right down to the last minute kink that did not bother me at all (they usually do). If you're looking for a fun romance that will reel you in from page one I highly recommend Lured In.
