When I read the blurb bout the marriage of convenience forced by Melissa's old school grandfather, I was so excited to see how Trevor and Melissa's story would play out. The story is intriguing. Melissa never wants to get hurt after losing so much in life, parents, grandmothers and her grandfather only crushes her dreams to work for his company. So, she's a workaholic thrown into a marriage of convenience to keep her grandfather happy. She chooses the man he hates most, Trevor. Trevor is not what she expects. He's kind, caring and not quite the man she assumed he was. Trevor swept me off my feet. He's definitely arrogant but his humor and caring for Melissa balances out that one tiny flaw. Boy, I would have loved to read his pov. It would have expanded the story and made the sex scenes seem less frequent for a book of its length.
This is my first Noelle Adams book. The story is solid and kept me involved until the end. However, after the first couple of "love" scenes I skimmed them for pertinent story line information and moved on. In addition my only other issue with the story was the lack of variation of ways to say "f" me every time she or he wants to have sex. I would love to read the next book to find out what happens with her sister and her friend that just reappeared in her life.
