The Real Thing - Melissa Foster

This sassy, spirited baker is fine with heat—
but is her fake fiancé too hot to handle?

THE REAL THING
Sugar Lake #1
Melissa Foster
Releasing Sept 5, 2017

Bakery owner Willow Dalton’s friendship with Zane Walker has always been a bit complicated. Now a scrumptiously hot A-list actor, Zane’s always had a reputation as player. He’s arrogant, and he’s definitely not boyfriend material. Sure, he did Willow a favor by agreeing to take her virginity before college, but is that reason enough to go along with a fake engagement a decade later—even if it comes with a real diamond ring?

Zane should have known better. Nothing involving Willow has ever been easy. Still, he knows her better than anyone, and becoming America’s hottest new leading man means cleaning up his reputation. An “engagement” to curvy, sass-mouthed Willow is the perfect PR move . . . provided no one gets hurt.

Now Zane and Willow’s little white lie has turned into an irresistible recipe for sweet temptation. And soon no one will be able to tell the difference between their fake engagement or the real thing—including them.

**THE REAL THING is being published by Montlake (an Amazon imprint) and won’t be available on other ebook retailers, but you can download a FREE ereader app to read it HERE, order the paperback.

She doesn’t realize this sexy recluse is actually Everett Alden, the world-famous rock star in hiding who’s nursing his own artistic and personal crises.

As their personalities clash, tension simmers between the struggling artist and jaded musician, and their time spent alone together in the gorgeous old house only serves to turn up the heat. Soon, Mia and Brennan’s creative passions boil over to inspire passions of another kind…

But reality comes crashing in when Mia’s celeb-obsessed cousin discovers Brennan’s true identity—and reveals it to the world. As paparazzi swarm the mansion, Brennan is thrust back into his rock star lifestyle. Will Mia lose her soul mate just when she’s finally found him? Can their love survive the glaring spotlight?

Mia's life isn't going that hot. When she meets Brennan, she isn’t impressed. She  thinks he's a crazy bum that's a tad egotistical. She has no idea that he's  a famous person when he introduces himself as  the son of the owner of Ross House. The fact that they are both unique and different ignites a bit of a connection between them. Mia’s considers herself a year-rounder, while Brennan is a summer person. Their attraction is undeniable and she decides to have a little fun even though he's considered a "summer person". Things between Brennan and Mia take off as he finds himself opening up to Mia in ways that he’s never done before.
Though I felt the story was a bit slow to start once they took off they went like a firecracker.  I enjoyed how Mia came to accept who she truly was and it took two misfits that found they fit together.  I give this fun romance...
