Interview,Review & Giveaway:Racing To Love Carter's Treasure by Amy Gregory

Welcome Debut Author
Amy Gregory

The Interview

Amy, Thanks so much for doing an interview!  I'm so excited about your debut novel Racing to Love ~ Carter's Treasure
J Thanks for having me, I’m honored!

Lets start with the serious then we can move to the fun.
Eeks! *bites lip*

What inspired you to start writing?
Honestly, this one is crazy.  I liked to write years ago in high school, but nothing since then.  The first book of the series actually came from a recurring dream I had roughly 4 or 5 nights in a row.  I started writing it down and the next thing I knew it was 5 notebooks full of this really cool story.  I typed it up and started researching what the next step in the process was.  In the meantime, I wrote the second book.  When I was signed with my publisher, then I knew it was a dream career that I could make a reality.

Who are the authors that inspired you?
This is easy, and there are so many!  A few of my very favorites are, Mari Carr, Keri Ford, Nora Roberts, Susan Mallery, Sarah Dessen.

Why MotoCross?
We have followed motocross for several years, it’s a very different sport in which you can actually get to know the riders at the races if you’re able to make it in person.  I like that connection.  It actually started when our son was just months old and would sit and watch a race on TV and stay spellbound for a couple of hours.  We started going to pro races in person and he fell in love with it, he is now our very own racer.  At the amateur level, it’s very much a family sport and environment and I love that.

OK onto the fun randomness!

If your passport could have any 3 stamps what would they be?
Oh, that’s EASY!!  Ireland, England and Australia.
Me too! Except add Denmark! LOL (that would make 4 and breaks my question LMBO)

If your books were to become a movie who would star?  I know the answer but I'm sure other inquiring minds want to know!
Um…let’s see.
Carter:  Zach Efron
Molly:  Blake Lively
Jesse:  Chace Crawford
Eli:  Jesse Williams

What office supply can't you resist buying even though you have plenty at home?
These new pens I fell in love with!  B2P by Pilot,, recycled water bottlesJ but they’re the best to write with and I never leave home without one!

What's your Fave?
Cleaning tip?
Invest in a decent vacuum!

Place for Vacay?
Hawaii

Food?
Chocolate – of course!

Beverage?
Mr. Pibb

Thing to do in an amusement park?
I hate heights or the feeling of falling, but I love spinny rides!

Coffee or tea? (Gotta ask if you've noticed my addiction to coffee it's a need to know )   ;-D
Um…hello… COFFEE!  Of course!  BUT with lots of cream and sugar!
I understand you know my coffee addiction!!!

Thanks Amy again for doing the interview I thoroughly enjoyed your book and getting to know you more!  Also, can't wait til the sequels! <3
Thank you Tobi for your wonderful review and for taking the time to do the interview with me!  I’m so excited for everyone to get to know these imaginary people I love so dearly!

Synopsis

From the outside, Molly West had everything, beauty, brains, and a career she’d retired from not once, but twice.  Being in the limelight and in a sport that was male driven, she was often surrounded men.  She ignored first the boys, and as she got older, the men.  Unfortunately, they were all the same, all after one thing, and she had absolutely no use for them.  Her cold shoulder and patented not a chance in hell look were usually enough to get her point across.  Occasionally, she had to resort to her sass—and her brother.
Molly had no plans in changing what was a perfectly good system. That is until she walked into the pits.  When she stood toe-to-toe with the sex in jeans, she knew right then and there that the man her adoptive mother always told her was out there, was now standing right in front of her.
Carter Sterling had traveled the racing circuit since he was a boy.  He’d heard all the old standbys, She’s out there somewhere, love comes along when you least expect it.  Good things come to those that… Yeah, he’d heard them all.  The last place he expected to meet the love of his life was on a pro track.  All she did was smile, and he knew, looking into her sapphire blue eyes, Molly West was his.  Forever.
If it was only that easy.  From the moment he laid eyes on her, he had a gripping feeling in him.  An overwhelming need to protect her.  A girl he’d just met.  Carter had learned a long time ago that gut feelings are almost never wrong.
Molly now held his heart in her hands, but it was going to take a lot more than just love to protect her from the past she thought she’d buried a long time ago.

Short blurb - Carter instantly had an overwhelming need to protect her. He learned a long time ago, gut feelings are almost never wrong.

My Summary
Molly is a spunky, funny, shy trick rider doing the pre-race show for the Motocross Season.  She didn't want to go but agreed to do the race circuit.  Little did she know, doing the circuit would mean meeting the man she's been missing in her life.   She doesn't do dating according to her brother and father men are all the same.  With her past she believes most of what they say is true. Her mother tells her to wait for a good man, they exist. As soon as her eyes land on Carter she senses there is something different about him.

Carter is ready to settle down.  He doesn't do the whole groupie scene.  He waits with his friends to meet the famous Motocross, X Games Gold winner and trick rider.  Instantly when he sees Molly he knows she's the one.  Will she notice?

Will this couple make their relationship last through the season without her brother killing Carter, or will something from her past rip them apart?

How Distracted Did I Get?

I absolutely loved Racing to Love ~ Carter's Treasure.  I had a hard time putting the book down, especially when I needed to go to bed.  The love story grabbed me the mystery helped with the follow through to the end.  Molly is a wonderful leading lady and Carter aka "Hollywood"  is to die for.  They have awesome friends and family as a supporting cast that will crack you up.

If a romance with a little mystery is for you make sure to pick this book up and give Racing To Love ~ Carter's Treasure by Amy Gregory a go!  The characters and story are amazing.

  3. Sounds like a good read, and your interview is great. I can't imagine being brave enough to try motocross. I tried a little Honda once and drove right into a barbed-wire fence. Definitely not my sport!

  10. Oh yeah, I luv'd the interview Amy. Reminds me of myself somewhat.:-) I like how you began writing...dreams do come true huh? You were lucky to remember them all and got to write them down. lol Awesome!

Now on to the book, Racing to Love...the blurb/summary hooked me big time. It's intriguing to read about a woman pro skater. You are so right it's a man's world...how dare a woman desecrate it? LOL Carter and Molly were an explosion waiting to happen. I can't wait to see what happens once the dust settles.

Thanks Amy for what appears to be a great debut book. I look forward to the others in the series. Much success in the future.

Thanks Tobi for the wonderful interview with Amy!
