Gabe is singing his heart out in concerts almost every night.  Living his dream yet he can't get his ex-fiance out of his head and heart.  He didn't expect to find her in line with groupies outside the concert grounds, least of all to let him know his father and step-mother had died in an accident.

Micki promised her nephew also Gabe's younger brother she'd let Gabe know of the loss of their parents.  She wasn't prepared for the electric connection they shared as high school sweet hearts to still be there when they meet again.

They work together to keep Micki's abusive father from getting custody of Jesse.  Their attraction and love can't be denied, though they each have a hard time letting the past go and learning to trust one another.  Jesse stole my heart from the moment he popped up in the story. Micki is spunky yet a giant teddy bear and she's extremely relateable.  Though at the beginning of the story I wasn't sure how I felt about Gabe he's one hottie mctottie that won me over and kept me up til past midnight determined to find out how their story ended.  If you enjoy a heart wrenching love story about hope and redemption I highly recommend Heartsong.
