Lanie and Mark's story is one for the record books! There was love, mystery and a touch of suspense. Lanie tries so hard to block her heart from being broken again even if it is from an amazing family she works for, that includes a set of adorable twin girls she can't resist. After finding out her husband was a serial husband after his death who can blame her for not easily trusting? Mark is broken as well. He's an amazing father to his twin girls, loving and supportive of his entire family. His protectiveness and all attributes instinctively extend to Lanie and he can't seem to stay away. A sexy former military man, current deputy sheriff with an amazing sense of humor and personality. I'm surprised Lanie held back as long as she did.
