Nate has come to Briar Creek to spend the Holidays with his aunt and help around her bed and breakfast. He can't stand Christmas and this is the type of town that drives him nuts during the Holidays. Once he meets Kara, he's intrigued and can't seem to stay away. Kara loves Christmas. She opened her own cupcake shop and is determined to make it a success. When she meets the scrooge from out of town, Nate, and she's set on making him learn to enjoy the holidays.
Kara is such a wonderful character. She's real and likable, though I wish she'd stood up for herself when it comes to her mother (who drove me nuts in Love Blooms on Main Street too). Nate though not a happy holidays kind of guy was super sweet with his aunt. The connection between the two was undeniable and I was just waiting for that chemistry to combust between them. Once again Olivia Miles wove a magical story that will leave you with a happy heart and ready for the next story in the series.
